Pair A Dice Games 2024 Board Game Gift Guide
Don't know what to buy this holiday season for your favorite board gamer? No problem. Just check out our Board Game Gift Guide below!
Lego Monkey Palace: First of its kind Lego game where players must both compete and collaborate to build a new structure. It’s really neat and pretty and should be fun for families or adult gamers looking for something lighter.
Gnome Hollow: A fantastically cute and clever game of tile laying and worker placement in a watercolor gnome-centric hollow. Your tiles create circles/paths, which create spots for you to place your workers. Plus, a super-advanced mode to handicap adults while letting kids play in standard mode.
Star Wars Bounty Hunters: A neat, small drafting game that plays in large groups and in 30 minutes. Hire bounty hunters to take on contracts — but the more you hire, the more ways you have to cut the bounty, so you want to hire as few as possible. Its fast, its clever, it features characters from the Mandalorian and other newer SW movies and shows.
Life in Reterra: Tile laying game by beloved designer Eric Lang where you are rebuilding a post-apocalyptic future. Simple to learn, but with lots of permutations of changes — tons of replayability and great for different groups.
Cities: Drafting and simple building game where you are trying to build a major city. Draft different elements, like building materials, city improvements, or new objectives. Plays in about an hour, by a favorite designer of ours at the shop (Phil Walker-Harding).
Sky Team: Award-winning two-player game. Land the plane! Literally! Two players play as two pilots trying to land a plane in several difficult scenarios.
Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle-Earth: Speaking of two players only. Two-player open drafting game where one person as Sauron and one as the Fellowship are trying to save Middle-Earth. Multiple ways to win, and you have to be careful to fight the other player on multiple fronts, being careful to not allow the other to sneak the win. Based on the award-winning 7 Wonders Duel system.
