Somehow Dracula has Returned
Fury of Dracula is a modern classic and it is the perfect game for spooky season — and its finally back!
So, someone has to deal with Dracula (or be him!). Four hunters are playing a large game of hide-and-seek across Europe to finally address the Dracula menace.
Players move across the board and hope to find him at a location he has been at recently. If they find evidence of him, good; if they find him, they fight!
When you fight, its like a game of our childhood’s rock-paper-scissors-garlic. If you hit Dracula enough times, he is defeated. If he can evade or kill the hunters, nothing will keep him from turning Europe into a hunting ground.
Every turn is tense — you dont know if you’re going to turn the corner and find yourself face to face with the epitome of evil every turn. You have to play well with everyone or he can slip through your nets. And even if you do find him, the tension each round of combat of not knowing if he will play the metaphorical paper to your rock.
Its about 45 minutes, I think its best at 3 or 5 players, but likely you can play any count and it will be a good time.
Additionally, in this brand new version there is an intro-level character which is powerful, but easier for newer players.
Finally, there is a short mode which cuts portions of Europe off, pushing all of the action to the center, like mom saying you can only play in the front yard, not the whole block. This gives both veterans and new players a lot to look forward to.
