Hello May!
May has arrived at Pair A Dice Games and we want the good games and fun to flow! There are a lot of events this month, so let's go over all of them.
We kick off the month with the Pre-Rift of Riftbound's third set, Unleashed. We have two events, the first on May 2nd at 5PM and another on May 4th at 6PM. This is your first chance to get Unleashed cards before its release, as well as the promo Ashe card with every entry.
On May 8th, alongside our normal Star Wars Unlimited draft, we are hosting a Twin Suns release event! Twin Suns is the newest format for Star Wars Unlimted, designed to be played as a four player free for all with special deck construction rules.
Lorcana's first official prerelease event is happening this month! Wilds Unknown is the newest set and you can experience the set on May 9th. Lorcana players have been wanting prerelease events for their game since its inception and we are so happy that prerelease events will be continuing on from here.
May 9th will also be our Monthly Mighty Marvel Meetup. Drop by with your Marvel Champions deck, and tokens for a day of fun with other players!
This month we are pleased to be an official hosting partner for the King of Tokyo x Godzilla US Championship! We will have two qualifing events, the first one on May 10th and the second one on May 17th. Entry will be $6 and all participants will receive promos for the upcoming expansion of King of Tokyo, Godzilla! The top two players from each event will return on May 31st for a final tournament, the winner receiving an early copy of King of Tokyo x Godzilla, a Day pass to the Gen Con finals. This is a fun event for all ages, so drop by and join!
We round out the month with some store championships. Heroscape returns with their 2026 storechampionships on May 16th. This will be a 400 point event following the Contemporary army build rules. Its been awesome to see Heroscape return to the store, so we are excited to continue to support the community.
Secrets of Strixhaven has been one of the most popular sets in a long time. We will be hosting our store championship for the set on May 23rd. This will be a standard tournament starting at Noon. Come join and get some awesome promos and store credit.
