Pair A Dice Games Corner

Unsettled

Imagine waking up at the edges of the known universe. You have never seen this planet before, much less any of its fauna or flora, the ship that took you here is broken to a state of inhabitability, and the air itself gives you this strange sense of unease. Oh, and the company that sent you here only said to touch intergalactic cosmic grass.

Unsettled has you play as a team of scientists set out to do exactly that. You play in a team of up to four friends attempting to research, discover, and maybe survive on a planet where you don't even know the laws of nature at play.

Failure is expected, inevitable, and almost assured; this game is incredibly difficult, even at its normal difficulty. Even between scenarios, strange plants and creatures that you once knew might have very wild and different applications when you next encounter them. Every bit of time and every advantage you can get needs to be leveraged in the name of science - and survival.

On top of everything else, there are a dozen different planets to mess with, each with multiple different objectives for survival, and you have a cooperative game with incredible amounts of replayability.

Each of the scenarios is told through the eyes of a science team that is so very done with the place they're in already, which lends to rather passive-aggressive journal entries that add a bit of humor to the otherwise dire scenarios you find yourself in.

All in all, an amazing experience every time through. An experience in suffering, but an experience nonetheless.
